The Building committee is back at work the after year-end holidays. Much has been accomplished since the last update. We are now entering the design development phase of the architectural work. This means that placement and design of the basic structural elements, exterior and interior boundary walls between ACC and the church unit are agreed on. The floor plans for the church unit are completed and we now turn our attention to the design of the interior portions of the church unit. We are having weekly meetings with our architect, Weinstein A+U to develop the interior designs of the church space. Walsh Construction has been chosen to be the general contractor and they will manage the construction for the church portion as well as ACC’s housing units. We will continue to work closely with Weinstein A+U and Walsh construction to develop the final design for the church interior that meets our design goals and fits the budget. The signs posted in front of the church and on 15th avenue NE attest that the MUP(Master Use Permit) has been submitted. Our project is on schedule and will remain on schedule if the required permitting processes are met and approved in a timely manner by the city.
